Practical Steampunk

At the request of Alpha-build, I have gathered up some steampunk pictures showing what I think is good steam aesthetics. Let me know what you think, where you agree, and how we differ in the comments section!

This is a classic picture, I like that they don't waste any parts on the bike.
The way that the design is based on the most effective machine, and not some crazy
quirk makes it all the better. Crabfu, the artist, has a lot of good info about steampunk.

This is a great character, a bit
post-apocalypse, but still
very steam at the same time.
I like that this manages to be cartoony and still very logical
about the designs of the robots.
This is great, because it plays off of the airship, a classic
steampunk element, but also incorporates modern logic, via the
stabilizing ducted fans.

This one I like for several reasons. It's entitled "time machine". I like that rather than some silly vehicle, as time machines are usually envisioned, this one plays off of the history of computers to create a much more realistic time machine. Also, there's a tiny little hint at who built this machine, embossed on the pipe, bottom center. brilliant!
